Painted Step Stools… It’s the Little Things

My daughter still needs a step stool at all sinks in the house.  I don’t love the plastic ones, so I set about switching them out with old wooden step stools that I found at garage and estate sales.

A few months ago I painted this cute one in Annie Sloan Chalk Paint Duck Egg Blue. The stencil was painted in Old White.

And then I found this one at a garage sale.

A little bit of Paris Grey, a Duck Egg Blue stencil and some distressing for character… and it is perfect for my daughter to reach the kitchen sink! And with the hand hole it’s easy for her to move around to reach the counter to help with baking too!

It’s the little things in life that make me happy. Goodbye plastic step stools.
