Dresser with a Beautiful Detail

Hello! Happy Spring!

It’s been awhile since I’ve shared a furniture redesign. We are in the midst of some updates on our old house and selections of bluestone and door knobs and windows has been keeping me busy! I have been painting, but at a bit of a slower pace.

But, do you remember the beautiful nightstands I recently updated for Cristina?

They were sitting in her garage waiting to be redesigned, along with two dressers. Here is the first dresser we tackled.

It is painted in General Finishes Queenstown Gray and lightly distressed. As I was painting, I struggled to cover up the beautiful detail on the top drawer. I emailed this photo to Cristina (and also posted on my Instagram and Facebook pages) – asking her opinion on painting or leaving it.

I’m happy to say that she agreed with me (and many of my Instagram and Facebook followers) and we left the original detail unpainted.

I am so pleased with how this beautiful dresser was brought back to her glory. This is definitely a piece that can remain a family heirloom.

… Kristin
