This is going to be another short post, because … summer!
I took a before photo of this cabinet, but my iPhotos is acting up and I can’t seem to get it from there to here. And again, it’s summer and I don’t want to work too hard. But, imagine, like most of my other pieces – a beat up brown wood cabinet waiting for its new life.
My client, Sharon, found this vintage piece for sale locally on Craigslist. She tasked her beloved designer, Irene Reilly of I Designs LLC, to make it work in her entry foyer. Irene chose General Finishes Lamp Black and found new cabinet pulls and a cute tassel. I painted three coats of the Lamp Black and finished it with a Satin Top Coat.
The details took a steady hand and a microscopic brush. I used Gilders Paste in Antique Gold.
The top opens and with new honeycomb paper from Spoonflower, provides a fun pop of color and pattern!
I’m happy to paint another piece of furniture for you, Sharon! I do hope you enjoy it!
