Hello!
I took a few months off from posting this winter, but am back now with the beautiful spring weather! I redesigned a few pieces I found this winter and am excited to make them available for purchase next week! If you are looking to refresh a space, be sure to follow me on Facebook and Instagram to get a first look at several items I will be listing in the next few weeks!
But tonight I want to show you a very old desk. This desk spent many many years in our local elementary school, used by teachers and students as an extra workspace. Mary, a teacher at the school, used this desk daily and fell in love with it despite its grungy appearance! (As did I!)

Mary is retiring after 26 years teaching at our beloved school (and three years before that too)! She will be greatly missed by students, parents, teachers and staff! However, it makes my heart truly happy that she will be taking a little bit of the school with her as a retirement gift!

The body of the desk was painted in General Finishes Coastal Blue. And once stripped, the beautiful original veneer of the desktop shines – even while showing the patina of years of use.

And as always, I find lining drawers adds so much to any vintage piece! I mixed two Spoonflower papers to create a little fun in this drawer.

We will miss you dearly, Mary! May God bless you and may you always think of us when you sit at this desk!
