I love these Hepplewhite dressers. And I love blue. So I was especially happy to be asked by Cheryl to redesign this dresser in General Finishes Coastal Blue for her beach house!

The dresser had a little water damage on the sides, some deep gouges that needed to be sanded out and that little detail below the top drawer basically crumbled as I touched it.
But, as always, a little paint does wonders.

The original brass pulls shined up beautifully. And I lined the drawers with paper from Spoonflower.

I can’t wait to see this piece in its new beach home!

Do you need a “new” dresser in your home? Next week I will be posting one for sale. I redesigned it in a deep grey and kept some original wood — it’s a beauty!

Love the coastal blue!
Beautiful transformation.
Did you use any clear finish on this piece or just the milk paint? It came out great..
Thank you! Yes, I did a General Finishes Satin Top Coat.
