Queenstown Gray Hepplewhite Buffet (SOLD)
This classic Hepplewhite buffet was redesigned in a deep, rich gray – Queenstown Gray Milk Paint by General Finishes. I have been trying out this line of paint and have been very happy with how it goes on and distresses. I rubbed back the paint to allow some of the original wood to show and the contrast is lovely. The top was sanded down and re-stained in General Finishes Java Gel Stain and finished with a semi-gloss top coat.
The inside of the drawers and cabinets are painted in Fusion Mineral Paint in Sterling gray. I lined the drawers with beautiful paper from Spoonflower. Finally, the original brass hardware was cleaned and enhanced with Gilders Paste.
The drawers slide smoothly and the cabinets open easily. The top drawer has two dividers.
This buffet would be a beautiful vintage addition to a dining room, a foyer or as a media cabinet under a television.
